14th ITS Asia Pacific Forum 2015:Junior International Scholars Gathered in Southeast University

    The Juior International Scholars Association of the 14th ITS Asia Pacific Forum held an exchange activity in Southeast University, young scholars from home and abroad gethered in Sipailou campus, exchange their ideas, display themselves, and communicate with each other. This is agreat opportunity to exchange the wisdom  of youth elites  transportation field from Asia-Pacific region and asignificant time to arouse passion with young  scholars from top universities across the country.

    The ITS Asia-Pacific Forum is one of the most important annual events and exchange activities in the international community of ITS. On the occasions of forum, the people from intelligent transportation industry and academic circles around the world gather at ITS Asia-Pacific Forum for jointly exploring the development concept and direction of modernized transportation. The forum has been a platform with the highest level and largest size for showing the results and conducting technical exchange in intelligent transportation circles of the Asia-Pacific region.
    Since 1996, the forum has been held annually in 14 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region which have joined Asia-Pacific Intelligent Transportation System Association by turns. When World Intelligent Transportation Forum was held in the Asia-Pacific Region, the forum was suspended to the next year. Until now, a total of 12 sessions have been successfully held. The main features of the forum are focused on the development characteristics of intelligent transportation in the Asia-Pacific Region and holding location.

   The School of Transportation at the Southeast University plays a significant role in the field of roadway  ransportation in China. The origin of the school can be traced back to the Department of Transportation at the National Southeast University in  1921.  

The School of Transportation has succeeded in establishing a cluster of programswith comprehensive research focuses, distinctive characteristics and outstanding strengths in the field of roadway transportation. The school consists of eight departments, eight institutes, three research centers, and two industrial organizations. As the core discipline, the Transportation Engineering program at the School of Transportation is a national key primary discipline which has significant domestic and international influences. The program ranks first in themost recent national discipline ranking conducted by the Ministry of Education of China in 2012.
