Sponsored by Information Office&Foreign Affairs Office, People’s Goverment of Jiangsu Province, Department of Education of Jiangsu Province and Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, 2015 Jiangsu “Foreigner-oriented Chinese Speech Comeptition” in Nanjing Division was held in Nanjing University on the night of June, 8th. Twenty-four foreign students from 15 universities in Nanjing took part in the competition.
After fierce rivalry, American student Vettese from Chinese Advanced Class, College of International Students in SEU and first-grade postgraduate Palestinian student Dashan from Medical School in SEU seperately ranked second and third. Vettese also got the admission to participate in the final competition in June, 17th.
The theme of the competition is “Happy Jiangsu, joyful Chinese”. Ever since the enrollment, hundreds of competitors from America, Europe and Africa have signed up enthusiastically. The final competition will be recorded in “If You Are The One” Studio in Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation. In June, 17th, the contestants will show their love for Chinese culture and Jiangsu culture, unfolding the charm of eastern culture mingling with western culture.
